LHI's 20th Annivesary and 10th Annual Gala
LHI’s Celebration of Love Gala and fundraiser will be an evening of entertainment, dancing and celebration at the beautiful Doubletree Hotel Houston Downtown.
Join us on Saturday, February 11, 2012 as we toast 20 years and honor Dorothy Weston Gibbons, Co-founder and CEO of The Rose.
The Gala is the only event of its kind for the LGBT women’s community in addition to being LHI’s largest fundraising event.
Enjoy our silent auction, raffle of a Vitacci 50cc Retro Scooter and a delicious dinner followed by the Celebration of Love Dance Party! The Gala also features entertainment from the hilarious, nationally known and iconic lesbian comedian, Suzanne Westenhoefer, and the wonderfully talented, sultry and sassy singer/songwriter Ginger Leigh as emcee.

Lesbian Health Initiative of Houston, Inc. (LHI)
In 1992, a group of Houston lesbians became aware of national research showing lesbians at increased risk for breast, lung, ovarian and other cancers, as well as heart disease and stroke. Determined to help reverse this trend, the esbian Health Initiative of Houston was formed.
For nearly 20 years, LHI has been eliminating barriers to healthcare for LGBT-identified women by providing health and wellness information and services through education, access and advocacy programses
